Sally anne Thompson
http://www.animal-photography.com/photographers/sally_anne_Thompson
Sally Anne's work shows many different kinds of animals in fairly cute, noble or intimidating in their appearances. the animals she mainly takes pictures of are fairly tame like dogs, cats and horses. her images are very well made and it must have been hard getting some of the animals to pose the way they do.

Mark Kostich
No images available they reserved rights and I cant use them.
Kostich's work shows animals up close and personal his images show up close perspectives of animals doing what they normally do in the wild. Some of which are fairly scary images of poisonous snakes showing their fangs or them using their fangs. Also has images that show various birds in mid flight which I have always found a serene sight.
Gregory Colbert
Gregory Colbert has done both great pictures and great films his images seem dream like in there appearance and he mounts the images on a Japan style paper giving the images a great look. His book has some haikus that go in relation to the work he makes that give each image a little more story.

Garry Winogrand
Garry Winogrand's first book was published 1969 and shows interesting images of people spending their time at the zoo. his images are all in black and white and he has an interesting image of these two people with these chimps dressed in children's clothing. I can't say their is a particular message to this book but it shows what people did at the zoo during the end of the 60's.
Nick Brandt
Nick Brandt books talk about the growing disaster in Africa with animals slowly going extinct. He also talks about the sadness of animals being kept in captivity at zoos and that this is one of the only places people can see many of these endangered animals. So he is trying to send a message on the sadness of what is happening to most animals in the world.
