Catherine Opie

http://www.regenprojects.com/artists/catherine-opie/images/#5Some of Catherine Opie's pictures can seem strange or even bizarre in their appearance. She has a few landscapes that are nice to look at and look cool. she has some portraits that look disturbing to me.

Larry Clark

http://larry-clark.net/marfa_girl.html Larry Clark's work has some unique people in them and can seem somewhat strange to look at. But his images are very good and can be considered great to the right crowd though they are not exactly what I like to see. His images show a lot of character with the way they are layd out and the people you see in them.

Aaron Ottis

Dr_Tony_Gadbois_Cherry_Hill_Dental_Aaron_Ottis Ottis's work mainly consists of portraits they seem fairly good but they are mostly your common look at the camera and smile. The images are good but are mainly common posed he has some wedding pictures some of buildings and baby pictures that are kind of cute.

John Pfaul

http://johnpfahl.com/pages/luminousriverpages/08shickshinny.htmlJohn Pfaul does very good landscape pictures with very majestic but simple views. They are very nice to look at and they have very nice forms. They are also nicely aligned with how they look  and appear. He has also taken interesting images of rock metamorphosis that could almost be considered abstract paintings if you first looked at them.

Tim Mantoani

http://www.mantoani.com/#s=0&mi=2&pt=1&pi=10000&p=0&a=0&at=0

I was unable of getting any of his work but the link shows it. He seems to take a few sports shot pictures for what I would assume to be a job. his other images have a certain life in them people are doing their own thing and carefree. his images make me believe that he has a fairly good connection with the people he takes pictures of with the way they look so relaxed.

Kelli Connell

Thumbnail Image 286
Kelli Connell's work features two versions of her self doing something together though most would not notice that both people in the picture are the same person if they look long enough they could definitely see the similarities in them. These images bring lots of interesting thoughts into how people can be different in situations.

Kyle Thompson

http://www.kylethompsonphotography.com/
Kyle Thompson's pictures can seem fairly strange but their is a kind of allure with the way they look like their is almost a fantasy kind of aspect to them. His pictures are clearly photo shopped with the way the scenes can look so unnatural. His work certainly does boggle the mind I would certainly enjoy his level of use with photo shop.

Dave Hill

http://www.davehillphoto.com/#/174090/Dave Hills work involves quite a few images with people and cars. Though his other images are very impressive his landscape images have nice feels to them and can give interesting emotion when you look at them. His portrait pictures are well made and the people seem so natural as if they were not even being photographed. Also the ones were people are looking at him while he takes the picture don't seem to have any kind of problems when you look at them.

Jennifer Wu

http://portfolio.jenniferwu.com/Nature/Alaska/19778254_dqbTGt#!i=2693456629&k=vr3Tq6J
Jennifer Wu's pictures show the natural world in a beautiful and elegant way. Her starry sky photos have such mystery and wonder in them and the animals she takes look so natural, carefree and peaceful. Her landscapes are natural and undisturbed in their appearance. All in all her work is very good and enjoyable to look at. Jennifer Wu's images show animals acting natural in the wild along with beautiful landscapes.

Henri Carter-Bresson

http://www.magnumphotos.com/C.aspx?VP3=CMS3&VF=MAGO31_10_VForm&ERID=24KL53ZMYN
Henri Carter-Bresson's work shows people doing what they normally do but in a more artistic way. Like the picture shown with the man eating and someone watching him there is a kind of symmetry to the two. His other photos involve people working and dancing and shows artistic value of everyday life. His work can show some unique characteristic's if a person looks closely enough.

Harry Callahan

 Providence http://www.masters-of-photography.com/C/callahan/callahan_providence_77.html
This picture done by Harry Callahan definitely shows the four corners rule. Also has the right compliments with the houses and they have a fairly good symmetry. the house in the back gives a neutral color between the two compliments and shows a point where one could really focus on the image. The plants and fences don't really seem to do much for the image in my view but what do I know.

Robert Mapplethorpe

Robert Mapplethorpe's pictures give a unique perspective of black and white with the various ways he chooses to light the pictures he takes. Like the lily shown above it is not easy to guess where the light is coming from. Also his human images can leave the mind guessing at times as to what the image shows. Those images can be a little confusing sometimes and as was my case may make you feel akword when you realize what the image really is.

Kevin Connoly

Kevin Connoly is a very interesting person not many people would think to take pictures of others who are staring at them for how they appear. The presentation he gave that day was very interesting as well he talked about his interesting childhood and people their asked him interesting questions. He also had some unusual stories that he had told in the presentation like his first experience with a gun.
I also learned how to flip a dog when it comes running at you.

Sally mann

Sally mann pictures are very interesting to look at the black and white make for interesting images. Her scenery pictures can in some ways look ghostly with there appearance. Also her face pictures can seem a little creepy at first look and strange. The photos she does are very good though perhaps a little strange.

Tony Schanuel

The Stream http://schanuelart.wordpress.com/
The day Schanuel came into the class room was an enjoyable experience I had listened to what he had to say. He gave me a new way to look at the pictures I take and different ways I could interpret them. Also his work is very interesting as well with quite vivid scenes in some and the other pictures he has of what could almost seem like random shots show very interesting details.

Dorothea Lange

Dorothea Lange's pictures are very emotional with there view on poverty. They put into detail the way people look when they are struggling to get by in life. I like the message she is trying to bring with her photos the people in her photos show lots of sorrow and hard ship they can really make you think about the suffering of others both in America and around the world.
